The Car Club from EasyCar

written by Melina

Many car owners don’t use their car every day, and quite often it stays at home in a garage or parked out on the street. What if you could earn some extra money simply by lending your loitering car out to those in need? EasyCar have just launched their new service, The Car Club from EasyCar, which allows you to do just that.

Working on the same peer to peer sharing principle as websites such as Airbnb, car owners lend their cars out locally to our other members in the area when they’re not using them.

Hel’s Angels brand ambassadors were out at Sainsbury’s Ladbroke grove the other weekend, talking to the public about The Car Club, raising awareness of the peer to peer “car sharing” concept in London, and encouraging people to sign themselves and/or their cars up to the site. Every new member’s vehicle was treated to a free vehicle inspection there and then by the RAC, to ensure it was in tip-top condition for hiring out.

Our brand ambassadors were trained and fully briefed on all aspects of the site and the way it functions, and were ready to answer any questions the public threw at them – from lending technicalities through to ‘exactly how much could I earn?’ (Short answer – more than you think!).

It’s such a simple and foolproof concept that our car-owning Angels are considering signing up themselves – and as for those of us who don’t own a car but are in need every now and then, well, we’re off to have a look at the site ourselves…
