The Rosebery Goodwood

written by Melina

From 14th to 16th September two of our lovely angels travelled to the Goodwood Revival Festival with the gorgeous Rosebery Bus.

The Goodwood Revival festival is a magical a chance to enjoy the glamour of the 1940s, 50s and 60s motor racing world.  The untouched racetrack gives the crowds the unique opportunity to travel back in time

What better way to do just that than on the Rosebery Bus!

The Rosebery is a vintage Routemaster Bus that has been transformed into a unique cocktail bar and restaurant – the most of glamorous private members clubs on wheels.

She took her last journey along Rosebery Avenue, Islington in 1966 and as Rosebery is such a British name and the name of one of our former Prime Ministers it stuck.

There has been extraordinary attention to detail in the refurbishment of the Rosebery.  With the best quality oak, beautiful leather hides upholstered by the Aston Martin team, flat screens, a full sound system and even a cupboard with vintage games!

The small space has certainly been made the most of!  The roof of the bus lifts up at the touch of a button to give over 10ft of height on the top deck.  There is the most exquisite green leather banquette at the front and the famous two-seater chair at the back of the bus remains – evoking memories of first kisses and youthful fun.  With tables down the sides as well you can seat twenty for dinner on the top deck and more downstairs and under the added canopy.

The Rosebery Bus certainly brought originality and fun to Goodwood Revival and we are sure she will do the same on all her journeys in the future!
