A very Nike summer!

It might have been Adidas that sponsored Team GB this summer, but over the past few months their rival Nike was just as busy sponsoring Team HA! Our Angels assisted in the running of some very exciting events for the brand, from the Nike Training Club Live at Old Billingsgate in July to the Nike Fuel Fest featuring Zane Lowe, Magnetic Man and Tinie Tempah at Battersea Power Station.

The summer of activity kicked off with the release of the hotly anticipated Nike Fuel Band at Boxpark London, where we helped some lucky customers get their hands on the Fuel Bands ahead of general release. Shortly after this we were on hand at Nike Town London for an Ellie Goulding gig, which was staged especially for members of Nike Running Club – a performance they were treated to only after running from the Nike store in Covent Garden through the centre of London to the flagship Oxford Circus branch. The all female Nike Training Club has also been gathering real momentum since it started up a few years ago, with Katy B taking to the stage in the atrium at Westfield to hold a giant training session with hundreds of very brave and energetic women!

In July, those who had earned the most points through the year’s Nike Training Club activity were invited to attend a special day at the Old Billingsgate as a reward for their commitment to the club. This was a massive event with almost seventy Hel’s Angels staff on board to run everything including guest registration, cloakrooms, goodie bags and treatment bookings. It was a fantastic day for the lucky ladies who attended as they were treated to free yoga and training sessions, massages, manicures, nutrition seminars and as much Vita Coco Coconut water as they could drink! This was all rounded off with a performance from Nike favourite Katy B.

The highlight of Nike’s summer activity was undoubtedly the Nike Fuel Fest, held at the iconic Battersea Power Station. The event was a celebration of their latest innovative sports technology, the fuel band. Over 2,000 guests attended the event, all sporting bespoke Nike Fuel Bands designed to track and translate their activity to NikeFuel. Our Angels were on hand to register each guest, assign Fuel Bands and generally ensure the whole operation was a huge success! The evening ended on a high with Nike turning the exterior of the building into a giant LED barcode that changed colour in response to the amount of ‘Fuel’ being produced inside.
