Student Placement Scheme at Hel’s Angels

written by HA

The variable nature of our industry means that workforce planning is one of the most significant challenges we have to face, and most agencies turn to expensive freelancers when dealing with last minute large scale projects.

This year, rather than simply reacting to erratic and seasonal workloads with short-term temporary solutions, we decided to adopt a more proactive and cost effective strategy.

With our Student Placement Programme, we offer university students from around the UK the opportunity to complete a placement year in our London office, providing a solid platform from which promising young people can establish themselves in the industry.

Rebecca and Kirsten respectively joined our Brand Engagement and Live events teams at the start of the Summer, and they have both had a fantastic year so far!

“I couldn’t recommend a year in the industry more. The experience you gain is invaluable, and there is no better way of learning than to get out of the classroom and do the practical work!” says Rebecca, who also told us how our support has greatly improved her confidence.

Kirsten is just as enthusiastic: “so far, my placement has been better than expected and I have learnt so much, especially when it comes to time management, being in a working environment and communicating with staff and clients. The processes and techniques that I have learnt can be directly transferred into my studies when I go back to complete my degree. I have also learnt great new ways of presenting ideas and making my work look more professional.”

Rebeccca thinks that the best parts about Hel’s Angels Student Placement Programme are the great brands that she gets to work with; the friendly team and the ability to push herself creatively. “For anybody thinking of doing a placement year with Hel’s Angels – I would highly recommend it!” she says. “You are encouraged to achieve all that you hope to achieve and more! I already feel like it is going too fast! I know that once I have completed this year, I will have the extra confidence and understanding to conquer my final year, and (fingers crossed!) pass with flying colours!”

“I have never felt so welcome in a job and I’m excited for the rest of my year with Hel’s Angels!” says Kirsten. Good luck to both for the rest of their placement year!
