Benefit Pub – Get yourself down the Gabbi’s Head!

Angels behind the bar at the Benefit Pub

England are out of the runnings, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pick another team to support – any excuse to get yourself down to the Benefit pub in Covent Garden.

Named The Gabbi’s Head after their ‘beloved Benebabe Glambassador’, the pink paradise of a pub was created by The Persuaders. From the seating to the drinks to the toilets, it has been created as a girlie World Cup haven. The only place in London where you can watch matches and at the same time have mini beauty treatments from Benefit make-up artists, all whilst sipping on some chilled prosecco or a special Benefit cocktail!

We provided a trio of fabulous Angels for the launch night, who, decked out in special pink Benefit football shirts, expertly prepared cocktails and served drinks and canapés to invited guests. We had worked closely with Benefit and the Persuaders to create the canapés and cocktails for the evening, and lucky guests got to enjoy our mini takes on Brazilian delights – including empanadas, tiger prawn fritters and the pub mainstay – our special skinny fries with chipotle mayo.

We may only have been there for the opening night, but you can visit every day up until the 13 July. If you can’t make it down, here’s your consolation prize – scroll down for the recipe for the Rasp-Bene Mojito that we created and served on the night.

Rasp-Bene Mojito

Ingredients

  • 50ml Bacardi white rum
  • 10ml sugar syrup
  • 15ml raspberry puree
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 4 lime wedges
  • splash of soda water
  • large handful crushed ice

Method

Muddle the limes, mint and raspberry purée in a hi-ball glass. Add the Bacardi and sugar syrup, then add crushed ice and top up with soda water. Give it a good stir with a bar spoon and garnish with a raspberry, mint leaf and a wedge of lime. Drink with a straw, and decide who you’re backing to win the World Cup!
